Move It Safely: Avoiding Injury While Moving Materials
Request for Proposal

This video training will guide the learners to understand and value the proper methods of materials movement, as it pertains to their personal safety and safety of others.  The training course emphasizes the causes and serious effects of improper movement of materials.

Two of the main causes of injuries to material handling workers are attempting to prove to their co-workers that they can “handle the load without proper equipment assistance” and not wanting to take time to get the proper equipment, nor do they ask for help. This leads to workers struggling to lift and carry materials which are too heavy to be moved safely. In order to move objects safely, employees must be well trained in safe material handling techniques while also maintaining the proper “safety mindset” to use their safety training knowledge each time they lift or move an object.

Serious workplace injuries cost businesses more than $58 billion per year — a nearly 3 percent increase from the 2017 findings.
